White Rock Day Use

The White Rock Mountain Recreation Area is open year round!  There are multiple amenities and activities offered at White Rock.  Plan a sunset picnic overlooking the Ozark National Forest, hike the Rim Trail, celebrate a milestone at one of the pavilions... There is so much to do!
Day Use: 
 
  • Open Sunrise to Sunset
  • Ample Day Parking (Park in designated area only)
  • Incredible Scenic Overlook
  • Hiking Trails (Rim Trail, Ozark Highlands Trail)
  • Multiple Picnic Sites with Tables
  • BBQ Grills 
  • Handicapped Accessible Vault Restroom
  • General Store: Information, OHT Trail Maps, Ice Cream, Cold Drinks, Snacks, T-Shirts, and more.
  • Day Use Fee: Beginning January 1st, 2018, White Rock Mountain will be collecting a *$3 per vehicle* day use fee. Please submit payment (cash & coin only) at the Day Use parking kiosk.
  • Proceeds will help support trail, grounds, and on site structure rehabilitation.                                         Thank you for your support!

Ozark Highlands Trail Parking: $5 per vehicle 
All vehicles parking at the OHT trail head must check in at the Brown & White Office. If you are arriving earlier than 9am please call 479-369-4128 for early check-in arrangements.
 
  • Ample Overnight Parking (Park in designated area only).
  • Direct Access to Ozark Highlands Trail
  • Incredible Scenic Overlook
  • Multiple Picnic Sites with Tables
  • BBQ Grills

What is Provided?

  • General Store: Information, snacks, cold drinks, firewood, and ice. We now have ICE-CREAM, T-Shirts, bug spray, sunscreen, OHT trail maps, and other minor necessities. More to come! 

  • Ample parking, park in designated areas only.

  • Handicapped accessible vault restroom.

  • Shelters located around Rim Trail.

  • Multiple picnic tables.

  • BBQ grills at some picnic sites.

  • Ozark Highlands Trail Access

Rules:

  • HIGH CLIFF AREA:  Children MUST be supervised at all times.

  • OHV use is not permitted with in the park.

  • Pets are allowed but MUST remain on leash.

  • Visitors must keep the noise level to a minimum.

  • Shuttles and rides are not available at this time, please plan your trip accordingly.

  • Fires are not allowed.

  • Fireworks are not allowed.​

  • No hunting in the park.

  • Wildlife area, keep all food & trash properly secured. DO NOT feed the bears.
